After the initial contact, we will set up a survey appointment. Our surveyor will visit your home to view the household goods and personal effects to be shipped or stored, estimate the volume and assess the packing and loading requirements. Please allow an average of one to two hours for the estimate. After the survey, our inspector will review and discuss the results with you, advise you the number of days needed to complete your removal and pre-schedule your move dates. Please advise the surveyor if you are planning to purchase any new items which we should consider for your overseas shipment. If your company is paying for the move, they may have corporate policy allowance levels. We will review those to ensure you are within your volume or budget allowances and advise if there are any additional requirements which need special authorization from your company. Please discuss your immigration work permit status with your relocation coordinator, because many countries have import restrictions based on your immigration status versus the arrival of your shipment at destination. Our moving brochure will contain a “Valued Inventory Form” and might as well contain certain custom forms (depending upon destination) which you are required to submit back to your relocation coordinator latest at the moving day.
